These Sunrise/Sunset pendants are made by etching the design onto the surface of rainbow dichroic-coated black glass. The etching cuts through the dichroic color to reveal the black glass underneath. The pieces are then kiln fired to smooth out the black areas. The dichroic color takes on a slight matt finish which contrasts nicely with the smooth black.
